Rootland has been present in Hyderabad since 2018, offering treatment for hair transplantation.
Advanced hair restoration techniques have made it possible to transplant hair in nonscalp areas of the face which allows restoration of beard hair and eyebrow hair with very natural appearing results. In these fashion and culture trends when we pick up any of the latest fashion magazines, you see female models with thick, full eyebrows, or men sporting with full beards due to advancements in techniques that we have developed, In Rootland clinic our practice has seen a large increase in the demand for beard and eyebrow restoration.
As in any cosmetic procedure, listening to the patient’s exact goals and desires is important. Treatment plan for beard restoration is often set by the patient. On the patient’s requirement, the areas to be transplanted are marked with surgical marking pen, thepatient should be in seated position. Measurements are used to help ensure symmetry. Patients are shown the position markings in a mirror, for the twodimensional perspective provided by a mirror which is what the patient sees in a mirror is different than what the surgeon sees indirect threedimension. If then needed, changes should be made according to patient desires. After marking the grafts are estimated by doctor depends of recipient area and density required by patient.
In recent day FUE method is largely is replaced by FUT strip harvesting methods for beard transplantation. Most of the patients are very happy to elect FUE procedure to avoid a linear scar, allowing them to maintain a short hairstyle. In our experience that the scalp grafts transplanted to the face have a very high regrowth percentage and patients can achieve a very natural outcome.
Once the extractions have been completed from the donor area, the patient is then turned to lie in the supine position. Local anesthesia is then injected to the face starting in each sideburn portion and cheek portion.
The portion around the mouth is not anesthetized at this point but rather the area around the mouth is typically worked on after the patient has completed lunch. The recipient areas of sideburn and cheeks are made first. After lunch, the area around the mouth is then anesthetized and moustache work should be done. The incision sites open with the nondominant
hand and the grafts are placed into these recipient using jeweler’s forceps.
Patients are instructed to keep the face dry for the first 5 days after the procedure. This helps to allow the grafts to set properly, helping assure the maintenance of proper angulation. Topical antibiotic ointment is applied to the donor area. Patients are then to wet the face after five days with soap and water, starting to put out the dried blood and crusts. Shaving is permitted after 10 to 12 days. Pinkness glare to the face may present after the procedure and usually resolves after a few weeks.
